Spray Foam Benefits & FAQs

Spray foam installation on interior walls for commercial project.
At Waco Spray Foam Insulation we come in contact with many people who shy away from the idea of using spray foam insulation in their home. They probably do so without even knowing the benefits that it offers and this is why the option is usually overlooked. Spray foam insulation is one of the best performing insulation types of any. If you don't believe us why not ask someone who has spray foam insulation. Our experts install this type of insulation daily because more people are familiar with its benefits.

Spray Foam Insulation
You may be familiar with spray foam insulation but not know what it is. It is made from two types of composites, isocyanate, and polyurethane. Once these are combined, a chemical reaction is created that causes them to expand and begin to harden. When the spray foam is being installed it starts to expand and create a protective layer of insulation over the space that it is intended to go over. While we install both closed cell and open cell foam, the majority of our customers prefer closed cell insulation.

Closed Cell Spray Foam Benefits
There are a host of benefits that you will experience from the installation of the open-cell spray foam. Here is a list of the top benefits of spray foam insulation

  1. Energy Saver – It is known to be a good insulator that also saves homeowner and businesses a lot on their energy expenses annually. It offers 50% energy saving benefits compared to other types that only offer 30%
  2. Air Tight Sealant – It completely seals cracks and holes that may be in your attic and crawl space. This is the biggest reason why many people experience such high-energy bills.
  3. Moisture Barrier – More than just air comes through the cracks and holes in your walls. Moisture can also come in and cause a lot of destruction. Since spray foam insulation is impermeable to water it will protect your attic and crawl space from moisture.
